Description
The Atlanta Fencers Club Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making the sport of fencing affordable and accessible across Metro Atlanta. Serving youth and adult athletes, the program fosters physical and mental development through the art of fencing—often described as "physical chess"—while cultivating a community of scholarly athletes who compete at local, regional, and national levels.

**Please note - The after school Fencing Club costs $417.00 per child and there is a required additional purchase of $100.00 for equipment to be purchased directly from the Fencing Foundation.

Families must purchase their own equipment from the Fencing Foundation. The $100 equipment fee covers a mask and a glove. All students must have their own equipment to be fully registered for the class.

The Fencing Foundation will bring their purchased masks and gloves on the first day of class.
Children need to wear sneakers, long socks and preferably long pants during the Fencing class.

They will not wear Fencing jackets.

There must be 8 students minimum for this club.

This club is on Tuesday from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM with the Atlanta Fencers Club Foundation in the gym.

This club starts on Tuesday, October 20th and ends on Tuesday, December, 8th. There is no clubs or aftercare on Tuesday, December 15th.

Students are collected from Extended Day (Aftercare) by club instructors and then brought back to Extended Day when the club is over. Parents/Caregivers pick their children up from the gym.

Extended Day is included in the club price before the club begins. You will be charged for Extended Day if you do not promptly pick your child up when the club ends or if your child remains until 6:00 pm. There is a five minute grace period after which you will be charged for Extended Day. The fee for a late pick up or a child remaining in Extended Day is half the price of Extended Day.
Financial Assistance is available for families on financial aid.

Please note that clubs are non-refundable. Late registration requests are not guaranteed. Please email Miriam with late registration requests (marensberg@friendsschoolatlanta.org) after registration has closed.

Switching clubs is also not guaranteed. It is important that you register before the deadline for instructors to plan for the number of students registered, rosters to be formed, and club spaces to be assigned. Students may not switch clubs after the 2nd class.

Club Instructors do their best to get a substitute when they cannot attend their club. However, there are times when an instructor must cancel. You will be notified as soon as possible if a club cancels and a rescheduled time will be planned.
