POETRY WRITING

In Poetry Writing camp, young friends will develop skills of writing poetry in an active, collaborative, and fun space! Poetry camp will focus on learning about the many different forms of poetry that exist and give friends the opportunity to experiment with different poetry forms through guided prompts and various free write activities. Friends will also engage in a workshop style feedback process, learning how to act as a creative community to help develop their peers' writing and use peer feedback to develop their own. Lastly, friends will learn how to find poetry contests and publications accepting submissions in their age range and can choose to submit their work!
