Creative Writing & Zine Making for Rising 6th-9th
Description
CREATIVE WRITING & ZINE MAKING
Lead: Connor McMahon

Designed for middle school students, we will focus on a variety of different activities to strengthen and develop creative thinking and sharpen writing skills.

Throughout the week, kids will get outside in nature to find inspiration and work on a larger project that they will turn into a 'zine' by the end of the week. This zine can be a piece of fiction, a collection of poems, or an artistically rendered display of something informational, like the native plants of Georgia or the history of a child's favorite band. They will also learn the skills of soliciting and giving positive feedback to their peers and working as a creative community!
