Kids Sewing Workshop February 4th, 2026 (Flat Teddy Bear)
Description
In this delightful workshop, campers will use the sewing machine to create their own custom flat teddy bear stuffie! This project is perfect for building confidence with the fundamental techniques of soft toy construction.

Campers will learn:

Pattern Prep: How to accurately trace the teddy bear pattern onto fabric and cut out their shapes, which is the crucial first step in any sewing project.

Sewing Curves and Detail: Gaining control over the sewing machine by carefully maneuvering the fabric around the teddy bear’s ears, arms, and feet while ensuring a clean turning gap is left.

The Secret to Smooth Edges: The important technique of clipping curves and corners to guarantee the fabric lies flat and looks smooth once the teddy is turned right-side out.

Stuffing & Finishing: How to gently stuff their teddy bear and hand-sew the small opening closed using a simple, secure stitch.

They will leave with a completely custom, ready-to-cuddle teddy bear and a huge sense of accomplishment!
