Description
The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program gives youth the opportunity to develop key skills in camp operations, activity planning, and workplace readiness. Through interactive learning, participants will explore the basics of managing a camp setting, designing fun and engaging programs, and crafting strong resumes. This program is all about building leadership and encouraging community involvement in a positive, social environment.

Participants must attend this training week, and attend a minimum of one week as a CIT volunteer to complete the program. Participants may volunteer for multiple weeks, and will take part in all field trips and events occurring during their time as CIT Volunteers, free of charge.

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a leadership role that comes with significant responsibility. As CITs, campers are expected to serve as role models for younger participants, demonstrating maturity, respect, and appropriate behaviour at all times. This program is not just another camp session—it is an opportunity for your child to develop leadership skills, assist staff, and contribute to a positive camp environment. If a CIT is unable to meet these expectations, engages in misconduct, or fails to act as a responsible role model, they may be removed from the program. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations with your camper to ensure a successful and rewarding experience for all.
