Academy Winter Youth Guard
Description
The Academy is excited to offer this great program for our 22st year of activity. This program is designed for elementary and middle school students, ages 5-14. This activity is a great way to prepare students for high school guard programs or marching bands by introducing such elements as marching and drill. In addition, students will learn basic color guard skills and how to perform them!

The Academy Winter Youth Guard (AWYG) program begins this year in January and continues to March. We plan to participate in the WGAZ circuit events with one performing team.

Membership fees will be $350 and will cover the costume, show shirt, instruction, and equipment rental.

Season Schedule:

First meeting/Open House/Equipment Check Out/Practice will be held Sunday, January 3, 2027. Please note that this will be a full rehearsal that will span the entire scheduled time. All rehearsal etiquette, safety protocols, and parent information can be gathered on this day. This meeting is a MANDATORY and one parent/guardian must be at the meeting. Thanks so much!
