Camp K Camper
Description
Camp K is a residential camp on the edge of Kenai Lake in Coopers Landing. Held at Camp Fire, an American Camp Association-accredited property, this woodland setting is a wonderful place for campers to commune with nature, enjoy swimming, canoeing, hiking, art, games, and other fun activities. The ADA has been providing children with diabetes a summer camp experience for over 20 years in Alaska, and Camp K is a lifeline for children with diabetes.

We strive to help the campers develop the critical skills needed to thrive while managing this disease. Attending summer camp helps children develop social skills, self-confidence, and lifelong friendships. We give children the opportunity to meet other children just like them while fostering independence and gaining an awareness of a healthy lifestyle through education, nutrition, exercise, and emotional wellbeing.
