ARC Lifeguard Certification (non-member) Friday-Sunday @ Trivera Become an American Red Cross Lifeguard! Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to be a lifeguard. The course covers safety skills, handling severe weather, water dangers, and more. This training DOES NOT cover the Waterfront module (canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, lake swimming). This is a blended learning course - registrants will be sent a link to an online classroom portion that MUST be completed before the in-person portion of the course. (approximately 7 hours or eLearning) Participants who fail to complete the online portion before the in-person training will NOT be allowed to participate and will not be refunded. Participants must be able to complete the prerequisites before signing up for the class. Attendance through all training days is required to earn the certification - participants cannot miss a day or portions of a day(s). Prerequisites: • Be at least 16 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course. • Swim 300 yards without stopping, continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both, but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used. • Tread water for 2 minutes, using only the legs. • Surface dive, feet-first or headfirst, to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. • Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Please do not sign up for the training if you cannot complete the prerequisites. No refunds will be given if participants cannot meet the prerequisites or complete training. Archery Training Saturday 9 am-1 pm @ Trivera Certification for GSWESTOK’s archery program is provided through USA Archery. USA Archery offers their courses in a blended-learning format, meaning that the knowledge portion of the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor is completed online, and the practical skills portion is completed in-person. Upon completing this course, participants will be able to facilitate the activity of Archery with Girl Scouts in grades 2-12. Includes Snack | $100.00 |
Let's Camp Level 1 Friday - Sunday @ Ekowah Taking girls outside can be a fun time for everyone as girls develop outdoor skills and a passion for nature. Whether you’re a camping pro, or just starting out, you can help girls of all ages have a positive experience in the great outdoors.
Take Let's Camp - Outdoor Adult Volunteer Training to learn the basic skills you need to complete a successful camping trip with your girls. This course will allow you to go camping at our GS camps, state parks, non-GS camps and Outdoor Committee and HAT Events.

Youth Mental Health First Aid-Saturday 9am - 5pm @Trivera Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants to identify, understand and respond to mental health and substance use challenges. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD), and eating disorders.
