Eligible students are entering grade 9–12.

In this course students get to explore and create with clay. They will create functional pieces such as mugs and bowls as well as sculptural works. We will make pieces using hand-building methods such as pinch, coil and slab. We will also learn to throw clay on the potter’s wheel. Many different methods of glazing and surface decoration will be explored. Every student will leave the class with a variety of functional as well as decorative pieces.
