1st-3rd Grade Garden Club (4th Quarter) - Wednesdays
Description
Join the Garden Club and embark on a journey of edible gardening.
Students will dig into the exciting world of spring and warm-season gardening as we plant, grow, and care for crops like tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, beans, and flowers. Together, we’ll explore pollination, beneficial insects, and the important role flowers play in helping our food grow. Students will get their hands in the soil through active, hands-on gardening while learning how to properly plant, trellis, water, and maintain a thriving spring garden.
Throughout the session, we’ll celebrate Earth Day, observe nature’s cycles in action, and enjoy tasting fresh garden harvests as they become ready.
Note: Garden Club runs year-round. Each season brings new crops, new lessons, and new discoveries. If your child has participated before, we encourage them to continue, there is always something new growing and plenty more to learn in the garden.
Students should bring a T-shirt to wear for the garden club to save their uniform from getting dirty. All other supplies are included in the cost of the class.
Registration will close on March 22 (or when the session is full).
