Hockey (Week 4)
Description
Camp Directors:
Eric Johnson
Does your child play hockey? Of course not, we live in Florida! Come learn the basics of one of the greatest sports from former pro and collegiate roller hockey player, Coach Johnson.
Campers will learn the rules for hockey as well as work on stick handling, shooting, passing, and even playing goalie.
This camp includes two field trips: one on Thursday, June 26, from 1:30–4:00 pm, to Semoran Skateway in Casselberry and the other on Friday, June 27, from 1:30–4:00 pm, to Greenwood Lakes Park in Lake Mary. On these days, parents will drop off and pick up from these locations instead of Geneva.
These field trips will allow campers to learn how to skate more like a hockey player on Thursday and how to play hockey on an actual outdoor hockey rink on Friday, getting a chance to shoot on real goals, use the boards and benches, and feel more like a hockey player. If campers have their own roller skates, they can bring them on Thursday (if not they will get rental skates).
No prior experience or hockey equipment is needed for this camp. Hope to see you there!
