Camp TPAC: Young, Scrappy, and Hungry American History in the Spotlight (Ages 12-15)
Description
Step into history the Broadway way! This summer, campers will sing, dance, and act their way through America’s story with show-stopping numbers from Hamilton, 1776, Suffs, Newsies, and Ragtime. From the Revolutionary War to women’s suffrage to children’s rights, students will bring the past to life while building teamwork, confidence, and stage skills.
Beyond the spotlight, campers will dive into hands-on crafts that connect theatre to history. Along the way, they’ll learn how costumes, props, and choreography tell powerful stories, and discover Tennessee’s own role in shaping our democracy.
The week culminates in a spirited showcase where our young performers remind us that history isn’t finished yet—it’s waiting for their voices to be heard

Summer musical theatre camps at TPAC offer weekday camps for ages 8-16. Led by TPAC teaching artists, participants will practice singing, dancing, and acting and discover the excitement of performing on TPAC's stages. Camp TPAC will engage participants in a fun, creative environment that promotes empathy, teamwork, and self-confidence through the performing arts. Each camp week culminates with a performance at 3:00 PM on Friday for family and friends.

Young, Scrappy, and Hungry has two classes: ages 8-11 and 12-15.
