Resident Camp

Q:How do I create an account to sign up for resident camp?
A:Since girls register for and attend resident camp individually, each family should create a Family Account to sign up their girl for any of the sessions from the Resident Camp guide that she'd like to attend. You can add one or more adult contacts to receive the main confirmation emails, then once you've picked her session, you can add other adults as emergency contacts and/or authorized pickups (i.e. who is allowed to pick up your daughter at the end of her camp session--this may include a troop leader or a friend's parent, etc.) If your girl is attending camp with a friend, it will be much easier for you if you if each girl's parent/guardian registers her own daughter individually.

Troop Camp

Q:How do I create a troop account?
A:To create a troop account, click "Create an Account" and choose "Corporate/Group" from the account type dropdown. Your Organization Name will be Troop ####. The other fields in the organization contact info section are optional. Troop volunteers list their names and contact info in the sections for Primary Contact (required) and Additional Contact (optional but helpful).

This system does not sync with MyGS, Ebiz, or other Girl Scout sites, so you can use the same username and password as any of those sites or a different one, it's up to you.

Once you've created your account, add your girls and any other adults who may be attending camp with you, then you're ready to pick your camp session! This is the most time-intensive part...once your account is set up it will be quick and easy to sign up for other sessions in the future. You can view your troop roster in MyGS, or if you need a hand with your members' contact/demographic info, simply shoot us an email at registration@girlscoutslp.org Welcome on board!

Q:I am a Girl Scout in another council. Can I sign up for camp here?
A:You bet! At Lakes and Pines camps, we welcome our sister Girl Scouts from any council. Members of other councils pay the same prices as our members. We have cookie dough/cookie credit reciprocity agreements with most of our neighboring councils--contact us for details. Our scholarship funds are limited to girls currently registered with Lakes and Pines. You can create a troop or family account and sign up for camp in this system just the same as members of our council.

Resident Camp

Q:The session I'm looking for isn't showing up!
A:There are a few possible reasons for this:
1. The session may be full, or it is past the registration deadline for it.

2. The session may be for girls older or younger than your daughter. Our camp sessions are designed with age-appropriate activities for the grade the girl will be beginning in the fall. You may want to double-check that your daughter is listed with the correct school grade or equivalent.

3. You may not have first clicked your daughter's name, before attempting to choose a session. Return to your main account page, then click the "Register for Camp" icon. Then choose her name under the "Sign up for resident camp" heading. The next screen will now show all the available sessions for your girl's grade level.

Troop Camp

Q:How much do we need to pay to sign up?
A:To register for troop camp and hold your spots on the roster, we ask for a non-refundable deposit of $25 per person. We accept credit/debit cards and electronic checks.

General

Q:How to I make sure my payment goes toward a specific session?
A:If there are two or more registrations on your account, by default the system will apply your credit card or e-check payment to whichever session has the first paid-in-full due date. However, you can easily edit this on the screen where you enter your credit card number. At the bottom in the "Additional Options" section, check the box for "Specify how this payment should be applied." Choices will pop up so you can specify which session the payment goes towards, or even how to split it between the two sessions. (All sessions must be on the same troop/family account in order to show up as options.)

Resident Camp

Q:How do I pay with cookie dough or other credits?
A:At checkout, you will have the choice of paying in full for your girl's session, having the cost divided into monthly payments, or paying the deposit today and the balance on the due date. If most of your girl's camp cost will be paid by cookie dough, choose the payment plan called "Deposit and One Balance Payment."

To redeem Cookie Dough Credits, Fall Bucks, or other coupons/credits, please mail us the original certificates. Be sure to mail them early enough that we receive them at least a week before your final payment is scheduled, so that we can credit your account for the cookie dough. Include a printout of your statement from UltraCamp or a note with your camper's name and the session name. Once the deposit is paid, the remainder of the girl's balance can be paid with any combination of Cookie Dough, Fall Bucks, Adventure Points, or cash/check/credit card. All resident camp sessions are required to be paid in full 4 weeks before the session starts.

Troop Camp

Q:Who can attend troop camp?
A:Troop camp is open to all registered Girl Scouts--girl members and adult volunteers with current GS registration and background check. Troops register for and attend troop camp in groups of 2 or more girls, chaperoned by 2 or more adults. For most troops, we recommend 2-3 adults--enough to comfortably supervise your group, but not a 1:1 ratio of girls to adults. A sister Girl Scout registered with another troop or as an individual is welcome to attend troop camp with your troop, if you want--you can simply add her to your troop account in UltraCamp in order to sign her up with the rest of your group.

General

Q:Why is the system asking me to pay in full at registration?
A:Advance registration for many of our sessions includes the option to pay a deposit at the time of registration, then pay the remaining balance as the session gets closer. However, full payment is due with reservation for sessions costing less than $50 per person. Also, full payment is due by 4 weeks before the session begins (8 weeks for Flex Trips), so if you are signing up AFTER that date, full payment is due at the time of your registration.

Troop Camp

Q:How do we pay with cookie dough, adventure points, or other credits?
A:Troop leaders, please work with the families of all girls attending to collect the payments and submit them to us in one packet. To redeem Cookie Dough Credits, Fall Bucks, Adventure Points, or other coupons, please mail us the original certificates. Include a printout of your statement from UltraCamp or a note showing how the payments are to be divided among your troop members. Once the $25 per person deposit is paid, the remainder of the girls' balance can be paid with any combination of Cookie Dough, Fall Bucks, Adventure Points, or cash/check/credit card. All groups attending troop camp are required to be paid in full 4 weeks before your session starts.

Q:How do I download or print a copy of a form I've completed?
A:From your main "My Account" page, look in the "Account Members" box to find the name of the individual whose form you'd like to download. Click their name to go to their Person Summary page. Scroll down and click the + sign to expand the gray bar titled "My Forms." An Adobe PDF icon appears at the far right for each form. Exporting the form to PDF will allow you to save or print a copy.

Troop Camp

Q:Can I add someone to our existing troop camp registration?
A:Yes, as long as space remains and it is at least 2 weeks before your session begins. First, add the girl or adult to your troop account in UltraCamp, if she isn't already listed. Then view your troop camp registration and click the pencil to edit the list of attendees. Update the check marks to show who you'd like signed up and save your changes. Finally, choose "Make a Payment" under the "Common Tasks" menu to pay their $25 deposit.
