Thank you for considering a Fernwood Summer Camp! Our Jon Meyer Nature Day Camps use Fernwood's forests, ponds, river, and prairie as the classroom. Hikes along nature trails, fun games, educational activities, and crafts open children to the wonders of nature while encouraging appreciation of the plants and animals of Michiana. The Roy and Ethelbel Knauer Art Camps combine the arts with natural sciences and are designed to stimulate curiosity, appreciation, and knowledge of the natural world; this year's theme is "Majestic Mythical Creatures and Folkloric Fairies." Mindfulness in Nature Camps feature mindfulness practices, creative movement, trust walks, and more to unplug campers from technology and refresh themselves.

You can view a list of our camp sessions by clicking on 'Reservations' above. Please note that Nature and Art Camp activities remain the same for repeated sessions in age groups; you should only register for one session offered per age group. Activities will vary somewhat for Mindfulness in Nature camps across the season, allowing for attendance in multiple sessions. A welcome letter and full camp details will be sent out two to three weeks prior to your camp session.

With the uncertainty surrounding schedules for school, work, and a return to normal, we are postponing registration for our summer camps until further notice. We hope that you and your family are safe and healthy and are finding ways to connect with nature. Updates regarding summer camps will be made through this page, Fernwood's website, social media, and an UltraCamp email to past campers. Additional details are available at www.fernwoodbotanical.org. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time. If you have any questions, please contact Head Naturalist Wendy Jones at daycamps@fernwoodbotanical.org.
