Dear families,

The mission of the Children's Hospital Colorado Burn Camps Program is to improve the lives of burn-injured children through the use of enriched curriculum and path of adventure in a safe environment. We strive to impart the imagination, genuine character, and confidence to inspire campers to have the ability and courage to thrive throughout their own recoveries and beyond.

Traumatic experiences related to burn injury can derail developmental progress. This rehabilitative medical specialty camp program allows children the opportunity to re-process those traumatic experiences and lay down new pathways toward healing.

The Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Camps philosophy is to serve burn injured children treated at Children’s Hospital Colorado and our network of referring hospitals. Burn camps have developed to serve states or regions of the US so that camps are more closely linked to the hospitals in their area. That way any follow-up concerns can be communicated back to the referring hospital and follow-up care can be arranged whether it be medical or psychosocial. To be eligible, you should have received information about this program from a health care provider where you have been treated for your burn injury.
