Camp Lookout
Volunteer Training Camp (Grades 10-12)
6/11/2012 - 6/15/2012
Grades 10th - 12th
Registration for this session is no longer available
Volunteer Training Camp (Grades 10-12) offers participants the chance to experience being a camper and a Camp Lookout Volunteer in the same week. Campers will be trained in many of the camp’s operations and will have the opportunity to put these skills to use. Campers will be involved with chores around camp, leadership in daily and evening activities, as well as training for CPR/First Aid certifications (those who pass the class will receive their certification). After completing this week, campers will have the opportunity to apply for two more weeks as a volunteer (no fee to volunteer). All of this takes place in a special God-centered community of peers. Come and learn what it takes to be a volunteer at Camp Lookout.

Camper Activities List: Swimming, paddling on the lake, crafts, bouldering wall, creek walk, nature classes, nature hike, fishing, indoor and outdoor games, group dancing, homemade ice cream, service project, night hike, frisbee golf, snorkeling at pool, archery, campouts, low ropes course, group initiatives, mountain biking, visiting the horses at the Camp Lookout Barn, climbing wall and zip-line, and full ropes course and v-swing. Off-site activities include Cloudland Canyon State Park, Chickamauga National Battlefield, and caving.
This list includes more activities than can be done in any one week. Time, availability, and even weather contribute to the actual activities that are part of the camper experience.
