3D Print & Design
This hands-on camp introduces students to the world of 3D design and printing using Tinkercad, building skills step by step through guided lessons and creative challenges.
Day 1:
Students are introduced to 3D design concepts through a short lecture and slides. They explore the Tinkercad interface, join the classroom, create usernames, and learn basic measurements (length, width, height, radius), rotation, grouping, and printing concepts. Practice activities include designing simple furniture like chairs and tables, with an optional challenge to design a couch.
Day 2:
Students review the interface, alignment tools, blank spaces, and arrows. They design functional objects such as cups and boxes with lids, with an optional challenge task to create a pencil stand.
Day 3:
Students revisit all prior concepts and design personalized keychains with dancing letters. The main project involves creating a 3D room, including essential elements like a bed, desk, chair, walls, door, floor, lamps, and carpet, along with at least three creative custom items (such as posters, windows, shelves, trophies, gadgets, décor, or furniture), encouraging imagination and problem-solving.
Day 4:
Students review and showcase each other’s room designs, revisit key concepts, and work on advanced challenge tasks. They are introduced to slicing, filament, and Polar Cloud, followed by a fun creation test to apply everything learned.
Chess
Even young children can learn the basics of chess, including how to move pieces, understand simple strategies, and play friendly games with fellow campers. Chess helps build patience, focus, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fun, interactive way.
Music
Students explore rhythm, melody, and musical expression through engaging, age-appropriate activities. The music component encourages creativity, listening skills, and confidence while allowing children to enjoy learning music in a relaxed, joyful environment.
