Description
Join Camp Greenwood for an exciting trip to Devils Lake, Wisconsin to experience climbing on real rock. The trip will run from August 6th through August 12th and will be run by experienced staff who climb regularly outdoors at places such as Devils Lake and Yosemite National Park.
Located in the picturesque Baraboo Hills in south-central Wisconsin, Devil’s Lake State Park contains some of the best rock climbing in the Midwest. The park is surrounded on three sides by bluffs that rise to an elevation of 1,450 feet. These bluffs are home to purple quartzite rock cliffs that measure a hundred feet in height, attracting climbers from all over the country. Countless cliffs with illustrious names such as Balanced Rock, Leaning Tower and Aladdin’s Castle are home to the 1,600 rock climbs available to us. Needless to say, there is no shortage of climbable rock in the Park! With hundreds of routes ranging from beginner to advanced, there’s a perfect route for anyone to enjoy Devil’s Lake rock climbing.

In addition to the excitement of climbing on real rock campers will learn how to cook over and open fire and how to securely pitch a tent for the duration of the trip which will be supervised by our staff at all times. It is the perfect way to make new friends and develop self confidence.
