Over the last few years we’ve worked with many volunteers
to accomplish two major environmental projects
at Moon Beach; care for our wooded areas through a
managed forest program and a complete restoration of our
shoreline on Moon Lake. Now that this work has been completed,
we will focus on restoring the trail system at Moon Beach.

Under the leadership of our Naturalist Gary Milanowski we will bring
the hiking, snowshoeing, and educational trails back to life.
There will be plenty of sawing, mulching, cutting, and clipping
to do!

If trail work doesn’t appeal to you, maybe restoring our lake
cabin window treatments will. We need people to measure,
sew, and hang curtains in all of our lake cabins. The carpenters
have finished installing all new windows, so now it’s time to
make them look pretty! These efforts will be coordinated by
our fall quilters.

No experience is necessary for either project… just a
willingness to serve! This is a perfect event for youth groups
and service organizations.
