The Journey: World Builders
Description
The Journey is a collaborative world-building tabletop experience with an emphasis on creative problem-solving and ownership over a fantasy adventure. During the seven-week period, participants will help create a world from the ground up and then explore their creation with their own avatar/adventurer, solving problems cooperatively with other party members, ultimately culminating in a shared story where everyone involved has a hand in its fabrication. The Journey will guide the players through The Quiet Year, a game about building and guiding a community facing an uncertain future, cleverly implemented through the drawing of maps. Then, after our world is created, participants will inhabit a resident of the world and explore it using the tabletop system of Dungeon World, a game about discovering truths in the world and developing bonds between players. Other activities might include miniature painting and character drawing.
