What is Senior Day Camp?
Our Senior Say Camp(SDC) program is set up to mirror the overnigtht program by allowing Campers age 7-14 to enjoy many of the same activities overnight campers do while getting to go home at night. The SDC group comes together each morning and make each day fun, exciting and special together. Playing games and trying new activities, all while becoming friends and working together to make their time at Camp Kidwell super special!

Traditional camp activities like swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, drama, crafts, sports, games, ropes and archery. Classic camp games such as Slip n' Slide, Gau Gau and many others. Silly songs like Herman the Worm, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, Little Red Wagon and so many more! Personal growth, nature exploration, friendship building, and cooperation and working with others.

Each session features a creative theme which allows the campers to have a unique and fun experience no matter which session they attend. We are confident every kiddo who attends will have a blast while they are here with us and come home with memories they will not soon forget.

Life’s a game…so let’s play! Who’s up for a little friendly competition? Points will be awarded throughout the week during different events, games, and activities Each day, winners will be revealed. What’s at stake? A visit to Kidwell Island for a campfire and S’MORES! Let’s GOOOOOO!!!

Senior Day Camp Details
  • Weekly sessions run Monday-Friday.
  • Arrival at 9am and leave at 5pm daily, except Friday when pick up is at 2pm.
  • Ages 7-14.
  • Campers enjoy activities, eat meals and enjoy all of the fun and excitement of camp together as unique group of up to 12 campers and a minimum of with two staff members(at least one is 18+ years of age).
  • SDC groups are made up of kiddos age 7-14.
  • Cabinmate requests are welcome and we will do our best to place kiddos with at least one of their friends.

Staff Members Qualification and Training
  • All staff members:
    • Are interviewed
    • Provide at least 3 references
    • Take part in our thorough training program
  • Staff members 18 years of age and over:

Before Care
"Before Care" Needed - Monday
Day Campers can arrive prior to the start of the normal camp day, if needed. Campers are welcome any time after 7:30 until 9am which is when the start of the day camp schedule happens each day. If the camper attends "Before Care" they will have breakfast with us. 		+ $15.00

Focus Activites
Horseback Riding Focus
Horseback riding Focus allows a campers who would like to spend extra time with our horses during their camp experience. This focus option allows campers to spend 3 hours each day (Monday-Thursday) with Taz, Wildfire, Lita, Keke, Tinkerbell, and some of their friends. 		+ $50.00
Discounts - Please read the details of each discount carefully. Discounts are limited to $75 for the first session and $50 for any additional session.
4-H MemberMilitary Member Discount
Campers who...... Are currently enrolled members of 4-H OR Have an active-duty/retired parent, sibling, grandparent or Aunt/Uncle are eligible for this $50 discount.
Discount eligibility may be verified.

Buddy Discount
A returning camper who recruits a new camper to attend a camp session is eligible for this discount.
Discount eligibility will be reviewed and therefore your balance at check out may not show these funds being taken off. We will review the discount and apply it to your balance following verification of eligibility.

Early Registration Discount
Campers registered on or before March 17, 2024 recieve this $25 discount.
This discount can not be applied after the reservation process has been completed.

Multi-Week Attendance Discount
Campers who attend more than one week of camp in the same season are eligible for this $50 discount.
This discount can not be applied to the campers first session of the current season.

Campers who have never attended Camp Kidwell before are eligible for this $25 discount.
