Reading Workshop-6th
Description
Reading Workshop-6th
Grade 6

Throughout this camp, incoming 6th-grade students will make substantial headway in one of their summer reading selections, Gordon Korman’s 'Ungifted.' Each day, students will enjoy dedicated reading time in various settings. Following this, we will delve into different literary aspects such as character exploration, setting analysis, conflict examination, and theme identification.

This immersive experience aims to strengthen grade-level comprehension skills, and participants will also learn effective annotation strategies to enhance their understanding of the text. We expect students to come to class prepared, ready to actively participate, give their best effort, and feel encouraged to ask questions. As the week concludes, a progress report along with completed activities will be sent home.
