Creative Writing

Monday, June 10 - Thursday, June 13, 2024, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

In this fun, dynamic, and collaborative creative writing workshop, students will explore their writing voices in a variety of genres, including poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and playwriting. Students should not worry if they are new to any of these genres; we will read examples, discuss logistics, and make every writing task accessible to all. Students will write every day in class and complete short writing assignments each evening. They will share work and offer supportive and constructive feedback on the accomplishments of each piece. For playwriting, there will be a time to stage our scenes. Students will engage in exploration and develop their unique writing voices.
