Introduction to Computer Science - 2658
Description
This course, open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors, exposes students to the computer skills required to be a literate 21st century professional. The lab-based course requires students to exhibit self-accountability with the assignments and a drive to embrace struggles as they problem-solve. The course will introduce students to the basics of programming using Python as the main programming language. Students will leverage the basics of computational thinking realized in Python as a springboard to other languages (e.g. JAVA, C++) and platforms such as Microsoft’s VBA products and graphing calculators.


Please note: The school will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth and Thursday, July 3rd AND Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
