Description
This lab science course offered over the summer for rising sophomores and juniors is designed to expose students to the major topics and concepts of chemistry and will prepare students for advanced classes in science and college chemistry. Additionally, the course will help develop students’ problem-solving and laboratory skills. Students will explore topics including measurement, atoms and elements, electron configuration, the periodic table, chemical compounds, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, states of matter, solutions, acids/bases, kinetics, and chemical equilibrium. Laboratory experience is integral to this course.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Algebra and Biology

Please note: The school will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth and Thursday, July 3rd AND Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
