Description
Biology is a lab science course offered over the summer for rising sophomores. The students will explore topics including, but not limited to experimental design, evolution, ecology, biochemistry, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, the cell, protein synthesis, biotechnology, and genetics. The course will develop students’ awareness of biology’s relevance by integrating modern issues and discoveries. Students will pursue guided and open-ended laboratory investigations in this course, which emphasizes laboratory safety and use of the scientific process. Critical and creative thinking are encouraged and developed in the classroom and laboratory.


Please note: The school will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth and Thursday, July 3rd AND Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
