Breaking the Code - Reading & Spelling w/Orton-Gillingham
Description
Using the highly effective Orton-Gillingham approach, we will use multisensory games and strategies to help growing readers crack the code of the English language. We will explore the 6 syllable types and how to use that understanding to decode multisyllabic words. We will work to build fluency and automaticity so that students can feel confident going into the next school year. Additionally, we will review key orthographic features (spelling patterns) and practice in engaging and creative ways.
