The Internship Experience
Description
The National Center for Girls' Leadership is proud to present the Internship Experience Program for rising 9th to rising 12th grade girls. The National Center for Girls' Leadership at Stuart has over 20 years of experience designing nationally recognized, and award-winning programming focused on Girls' Leadership. This experiential camp partners with alumnae of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart and local organizations to forge connections and provide networking opportunities for teens.
During this week of leadership development, young leaders will:
- Engage in self-reflection and positive skill assessment sessions that will help her see value in herself and in all others
- Learn techniques and practices that make her intellectually prepared to lead
- Discover the confidence and skills needed to be an agent of change
- Develop a LinkedIn profile
- Hone her communication skills
- Intern with local organizations each afternoon, learning about different work environments, expectations, and opportunities
This camp provides a morning snack and includes lunch for your camper.

Faculty Bio:
Dr. Marissa Muoio has served as Head of Upper School at Stuart since 2020. Dr. Muoio came to Stuart from Mount Saint Dominic Academy in Caldwell, New Jersey. From her early tenure as a faculty member and coach, she rose into leadership serving first as a curriculum coordinator and ultimately as the Dean of Academics. As an alumna of Mount Saint Dominic, Dr. Muoio is both a product and proponent of a Catholic all-girls education. She received her undergraduate, masters and doctorate from Seton Hall University. With a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a minor in English, master's degree in library media studies and doctorate in educational leadership she brings a deep understanding of the full arc of preschool through grade twelve education.
