Gr 2-3 Advanced LEGO Engineering Camp
Description
Skill development of the Engineering Design Process: identify, research, plan & build, test, improve. Apply concepts of measurement, speed, balance, mechanical movement, and structure. Guided, Challenge, and Free Builds will focus on mastery of complex/compound machines preparing campers to incorporate basic coding & robotics at the end of the week.

* PREREQUISITE
* Incoming 2nd Grade PREREQUISITE: Previous attendance at Early/Intro to LEGO Engineering Camps? (Summer 21, 22, 23 = fulfilled prerequisite)

* Incoming 3rd Grade Questions:
- Describe experience and skill-level with LEGOs (both creative free-building and following kit-based instructions

* WHEN
06/10/24 - 06/14/24 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

* WHERE
The session will be held in the Upper E Cafeteria.

* WHAT TO BRING
* Campers should wear CLOSED-TOE tennis-type shoes for safety during outdoor “brain break” as well as protype testing outside
* Campers should bring: water bottle, personal snack (nut-free) *Label all items with Camper’s name
* Campers should bring or pre-apply sunscreen if necessary as there will be 1-2x 15 minute brain breaks and/or protype testing outside

* CLASS MINIMUM
A minimum of 14 students are needed to run this session. It is open to CHCA and non-CHCA students so please invite a friend or two!
