Description
How does a picture tell a story? What makes the pictures in our favorite books so memorable and special? In this camp, young artists will be invited to consider the ways in which illustrations help the stories we love to come to life. We will take a look at the work of celebrated illustrators who, using their unique styles, bring color, emotion, and energy to the page. We will challenge ourselves to think about illustration in new ways via drawing games and creative exercises. Students will produce reimagined illustrations for timeless tales as part of our cumulative project.
