Sing what you See - Expressive and Efficient Conducting Gestures for Choirs.
Description
Explore ways your physical conducting gesture can evoke more beautiful and connected singing from your students. Using a lab choir format, each participant will have podium time to explore varied repertoire, styles, and strategies for music-making. We will also discuss score preparation and how to authentically lead music outside the conductor’s comfort zone. Some repertoire will be assigned, and conductors will also be asked to bring music of their choice. Be ready for reflection, growth, and valuable networking with your choral colleagues at this week-long conducting workshop. EDU-565-PM1 – 2 Credits
