Description

In Junior Artists Company, students will truly hone their skills over this 3-week rehearsal period. Working with a script, the class will culminate in a full-scale production with a professional set, projections, costumes, puppets, and lighting designed and produced by local professionals. During rehearsal, students will rehearse their parts and receive individual coaching, play ensemble games to build their teamwork as a cast, and develop their expressive theatre skills through drama games and exercises. In addition, through participating in musical theatre processes, students will further develop their “triple threat” skills of singing, acting, and dancing. The show will be directed by our Drama School Manager, Matthew Hayes Hunter.

Show Description:
This summer, the Junior Artists Company presents Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr.

Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Disney's Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Join us for a production and not only fill three weeks of your summer puzzle, but also save on summer! Our productions run the course of three weeks, which comes to $265 per week. That is $70 off per week of our typical summer camps! This price includes free extended care.

NCT offers free extended care for our families. Before Care opens at 7:30 am and After Care closes at 5:30 pm. You can add this service during registration or on a day-to-day basis during the camp week. Extended care consists of supervised unstructured free time. Students are welcome to bring a book or electronic device (that NCT is not responsible for). Additionally, NCT provides coloring sheets, board games, marble towers, etc. for students who are interested. Also, during after care, we will also have a daily option of a G or PG-rated children’s movie playing as an activity choice.
